hello!!

Hello family and friends! Sounds like things are still good and still wet. Things have been wet here the last couple days with some good rain yesterday and last night. And it is still raining some today. So you guys aren't the only ones with tons of rain and water hehe. I've been kinda cold with the temperature only being about 80 degrees hehe. I'm just gonna die when i come home.

Dad, let me know if that lady is Filipino. That is awesome. Everybody here asks me if i know any Filipinos back home, and i don't. So that will be cool if there actually is a Filipino in lil' old SV. And i'll watch for Bro. Nielson in August. If he is doing a mission tour here i will for sure see him. That would be cool to meet him and talk to him. Nobody here knows anything about a change in the Area Presidency. All the members here know the Area Presidency. Before the current President, Elder Edwards, the President here was Elder Oaks. He was president here while he was also in the Quorum of the 12 Apostles. But if Bro. Nielson is good at basketball, the Filipinos will just love him. Filipinos love basketball more than anything else hehe.

Nothing really big happened for us this week. Just the usual stuff. Working, walking, eating, sleeping, repeating hehe. Our recent convert, Bro. Allan, is still doing good. We're in the stage of getting him a calling and preparing him and his wife to be sealed in a year. It is all fun stuff. Yesterday we only had a few people at church because of the rain. When it was time to start there were only about 15 people there, but a few came late and we ended up with about 50 people there. We only had one investigator there yesterday. It was a day where you could tell who the truely converted and strong members were. One of our former less-actives was there despite the rain. So i was really excited about that. They really have truely come back from being lost. The branch has a plan for the dad to become the 1st Counselor in the Elders Quorum Presidency. So that is all so cool to see happening in their life.

We are getting into the last couple weeks of our mission president and his wife, President & Sister Aquino. What we've heard is that the first week of July our new mission president will be here. So now its just waiting to see what happens and if there are any big changes. Crazy how time just always flies by.

I really have no stories for you guys this week. It was just so normal with nothing exciting. We are still plugging away trying to find new people to teach and to help the members become stronger and more united.

We have started what we call a Mini MTC here. It is pretty much a mission preparation class that me and my companion are doing. All the single adults and youth that are close to the age to go on a mission are involved. Yesterday was the first day. It was pretty alright. What we do is first, right after the 3 hour block, we have Correlation Meeting. Then we eat there at the church. Then we have our Mini MTC. It is pretty fun. We are pretty much just studying Preach My Gospel. If you have any ideas on what we could do let me know.

Please keep praying for our investigators here. Your prayers are truely a big help. Keep up the faith and keep chugging away. The Lord will help us do what we should. I love you guys tons. God be with you till we meet again.

Elder Brough
