Hello everybody! Life is still going good for us here in the Philippines. Just enjoying the nice hot sun ;) haha joke. Glad to hear that things are still going good for you all there.
Thanks Mom for doing that about the shoes. My other pair are still doing good. They are my good pair, and i usually only wear them to church and zone conferences and stuff. So they are still doing good. I've seen people that resole shoes, but i haven't seen any here in my current area. All my other clothes are good. I can get pretty much everything i need here, except for garments. I may need to have you send me some at some time. But they still seem to be doing good so far. But you could send me some more of my face wash and meds. You could throw in some propel mix too ;). Thanks for all this kind of stuff you guys do for me!
So a little more about this area and where we live. Our apartment here is pretty good. It is just the 2 of us in our apartment. It is still a good size apartment for just us. We do have a shower again in this apartment, so we don't have to us a bucket and scoop. Um, what else.... Members here are so nice, and a lot of fun.
Our investigators are still doing good, too. I think i told you about the Atienza Family last week. They are still slowly progressing. Mom and Dad didn't come to church, again, but i think we are really close to getting them there. You can really seen their progression, slowly but surely. It makes me smile sometimes when i see the dad, because me looks a little like Mic Jagger (man my spelling is horrible! haha). He has a bit longer hair, kind of a mullet. When you look at him it is deffinetly like wow, 80' rocker haha. But he is cool. Last week we had a Family Home Evening at their house, and it was a bunch of fun. I love Family Home Evening! It is awesome to see families just kinda hang their hair down and have a little fun together, but learn about the gospel at the same time. This week me and my companion are doing like a Branch Home Evening Fireside. We will talk about families and Family Home Evening a bit, then do a big Family Home Evening with the branch and investigators. It should be a lot of fun.
Time is still going fast. My companion goes home in just 2 weeks. So this morning we got to go to Balanga so he could get his chest x-ray done. Balanga is city where my first area, Cupang is. It was an hour by bus from here to there. It was nice to kinda walk around there again. We get to go back next week too to pick up the results of his x-ray. Every missionary here has to get a chest x-ray right before going home to make sure all is still good. I don't really truely know why we do it, besides the Mission President and his wife told us to haha. I don't think i've ever told you about the buses. There aren't really any bus stops. To catch a bus, you just stand on the side of the road and wave it down. Then when it is your stop, you just say "Para" and they stop so you can get of. A conductor walks up and down the aile taking our money. That is just everyday life here.
Whelp, i don't know what else to tell you. Everyday is so amazing. Each day i learn a lot. I love being in the service of the Lord here. This really is a marvelous work and a wonder. I know that this church is true. I love you all so much, and God be with you till we meet again.
