hello!!!
Hello family and friends! Happy Valentines Day! Ya, they celebrate it here too. Me and my companion were joking that we have to be each others valentines haha. And congrats to Nicole and Bill. Glad everything went well.So this last week i got my new companion. It is Elder Marfori, a native Fililipino. He is from Laguna. He is pretty cool. I knew him before we became companions. We had been in the same zone a few times. He is close to going home. He goes home in May, so only this transfer and next transfer left. So i might be his last companion. So i might be left here in this area still. But we will see. I don't really know what to tell you about him haha. Next week i'll try to send a picture of us.This last week our work was pretty good. We focused a little more on less-active members this last week. Me and my last companion found a family that was inactive, the Tumilang Family, so we had started sharing with them. This last week we also shared with a few others we had found. Then Sunday it was awesome, because the Tumilang Family came! It had since last November since they had last been to the church, and they came! It was way exciting. Plus on top of that, a few other inactive members that we had visited came too. It was cool to see them come back to church after being away for so long. The Lord really, really wants all of us there at His church every Sunday.Yesterday our Mission President did a Fireside for our the leaders in the district down here, branch presidencies, priesthood leaders, relief society, all that. It was really good. It was all about scripture study and how so important it is to read the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. It is so true. I've seen a big change since i started reading the Book of Mormon regularly here on my mission. Something i read always fits with something that we do or that happens to us. It is always a help and guide for that day. It makes my day more powerful. Our Mission President also gave some sweet quotes and stuff about reading our scriptures that i want to send ya. So here it is. The Book of Momon is sooooo true. I know that with every fiber of my being. I know that Joseph Smith translated it through the power of God. It helps us receive answers to any question we have. It helps us in every aspect of our life. It truely does. Even if we read just 1 chapter a day. I would invite all of you to just try it. Why not? Give it a chance and see what happens. I know that it will bless you. Well things are still amazing for me here in the Philippines. Still happy and always full and gaining weight every once in a while. The work of the Lord in a mission is amazing. I love you all so much, and God be with you till we meet again.Elder Brough
