This last week we found a few new investigators that are really receptive. It is really exciting. Sister Odet, one of our investigators (i think i told you about her) was finally able to come to church yesterday. She hasn't had any money for the jeepney to come to church, but the Lord has helped her and she has money now. Her baptism is coming up here in April.
A random but funny fact for you. My companion found out this last week that his little brother is coming to this same mission. When my companion leaves, that is when his brother gets here. As in my companion will leave on a Tuesday and his brother will get here the Thursday. Pretty crazy.
It has still been a focus of our to reactivate different members here. It is good to hear of the different members there that are coming back to church. I realize i was so ignorant of stuff like that before. I didn't think of people that were less-active and needed a little help or a friend. It sounds like you guys are doing a good job though with that there. These last couple weeks we've seen a couple people come back to the church. We've also had amazing experiences here the last month with one family, the Max and Joan Family. Joan is just a little lady, as in short, not even 5 feet. But she actually reminds me alot of Heather, she is about the same age too. I call her my "ate," or big sister. And Max is cool too. He is really funny. But as i've been here i've seen them coming back to church and start to really embrace it. Before i got here they started coming to church again after being inactive for 7 years. Now Max has given up a big drinking problem. He has started wearing a tie for the first time. Joan started working with us once a week. And most recently, we've got to see them start the repentance process to get ready to be sealed in the temple. It is awesome because we randomly will walk by their house and here church music playing.
It is amazing to see people embrace the gospel after some time away. It is really a hard road to travel to reactivity, to going to church every week and repenting. But the Lord is really there to help us. It takes a lot of prayer, fasting, reading the Book of Mormon, and priesthood blessings, but IT IS POSSIBLE because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. His hand is always stretched out for us to grab. He will never leave us. Just like it says in Alma 7:11-13. That has become one of my favorite scriptures. Look it up and read it. I know that the Lord loves us all, and that He loves you. I know that this church is true. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I love you all so much, and God be with you till we meet again.
