hello!

Hello family and friends! This week here was just chipper. Another good week here. It just flew by though.

We did have a couple of experiences this week. We went to a part-member's house Saturday night. We are teaching the husband, and his wife is a member. They just got married not too long ago, and Sister has been expecting a baby. Her due date was in the beginning of May. Right after we got there, they just got home from a routine ultra sound. The people had told them to go have a check-up because she was close to having the kid, he had moved down or something. Not long after they got home sister came out of her room and was like, i think the baby's coming. They hurried to the check-up, and they said she was at 3cm. I actually have no idea what that means, but i know i've that that kinda stuff from you sisters that have had kids, and i think its important. (This totally made me laugh out loud) But ya. So they hurried and left to go to Balanga to the hospital. Then Sunday their family told us she had had the baby. So that was kinda our experience for the week haha.

Here we have also been having good experiences with members, reactivating and stuff. This week me and my companion decided to go and visit a member that lives a ways away. So we went out there and she was so excited we had come. Then she went on to tell us how the week before she had been heading to church when her husband (who is a member, but inactive), who was drunk, like chased her down and wouldn't let her go to church. So she had decided she wouldn't fight it and go to church this Sunday. But after we were there she said she knew she needed to come to church, and she would. It was amazing how the Spirit led us to her in her time of need. That isn't the first time that has happened to us here, either. The Lord really does love every one of his children, and knows when they need a little help. So He sends somebody to help them out. I know that is true. The Lord is always aware of us and our trials.

Yesterday, Palm Sunday, was the beginning of Holy Week. Here they really celebrate it, because there are tons of Catholics. Before i came here i had no idea what holy week is. Yesterday for Palm Sunday, you would see hords of people going to the Catholic church with some palaspas, or palm leaves woven together. They take them there and have the priest bless them, then hang them on their doors. Every day this week they have different stuff going on, especially on Wednesday and Thursday. That is when they do the whole penatencha stuff. I think i told you about that last year. Its pretty crazy. Holy week is a bit different for work, sometimes really good because of Holy Week, sometimes not.

This week we also have a Sports Fest coming up here in our branch. It is coming up on Thursday, Mahal na Araw. Its gonna be lots of fun, playing games and stuff with members and investigators. We also have some pretty sweet shirts for it haha.

Well i don't know what else to tell you about us here. I'm probably boring you all to death haha. We're doing good here, can't complain. Work is good, always progressing. Its flying by, too. I love this work so much! I know it is true. I love you all so much too, and God be with you till we meet again.
