Hey family! Life is still amazing here in the Philippines. I can't believe I have already been here for almost a month!.....
.....Dad, thank you so much for the advice about the language. It is deffinetly day to day; some days it is really hard and discouraging and some days its okay. It is both harder and easier that most of the people here speak English. They can explain the meaning of words and stuff to me, but it also easy sometimes to speak English to them. Some will speak English to me to show that they can and to practice. But i'm working on it still. I can deffinetly tell some stuff of the language are getting easier.......
......Another interesting fact about here is that everyone has lots of chickens, mainly roosters. Because cock fighting is legal here. So we see them everywhere we go. And every morning there are roosters cock-a-doodle-doing everywhere. So that is kinda funny and interesting......
....Missionary work is amazing! It is amazing to see the gospel change people's lives. It is so amazing to see them progress and learn the things that i have been around my whole life. I am learning so much from these people. They are amazing. Everytime we have a really hard day with being rejected and people not keeping commitments and stuff, we have an amazing day not soon after. It is amazing to see just a little bit about how the Lord works in people's lives. And how the Lord is working in my life and making me a better person through this. I never knew you could love people you barely know so much. It is amazing how devastating it feels for us when they don't keep commitments or come to church. And how amazing and exciting it is when they do these things. Thank you, all of you, for all you have done in my life to help be be prepared to and decide to serve a mission. It is already probably the single best experience of my life. Anybody that is trying to decide on whether or not to serve a mission, do it. Just do it. You will never regret it and never regret the things you left behind. The Lord makes sure all that stuff works out for you. It all waits.
I love you all and hope everything continues to go well for you. Remember the Lord blesses us the most in our times of trial. God be with you till we meet again.
