Hello Fam

Here are some pics of our FHE. The one is of me, my companion, and that Sister Joan that i was talking about. She reminds me of Heather. And thats not only because she's short (only 4' 11") haha.

Hello everybody! Sounds like things are still going pretty good for all you there. Life is still great here too. Mom said that lots of missionaries are coming here to the Philippines. Thats what i've heard too. At the end of this transfer there are 12 new missionaries coming here to our mission! That is the most i know of that have come at one time. Usually its only 4 or 5. So that is pretty exciting.

We also don't have to worry about that radiation stuff in Japan. What we've heard is they said it won't make it here to us because we are far enough away. So its good we don't have to worry about that. I guess we just continue to pray for the people there that are.

It was kinda funny last Monday. We had a FHE at a member's house. Lots of people were there and it was really fun. While we were giving the lesson i guess there was an earthquake. I say i guess because i didn't feel it haha. My companion was sitting right next to me, and he was speaking and teaching when all of a sudden he stopped. I was thinking, what, why'd you stop. It was because of the earthquake pala haha. It was only a small earthquake. There were a few of us who didn't feel it. So that was our funny moment for the day.

This last week was good for our proselyting. The members are starting to really help us out. Its vacation for them right now, so lots of branch missionaries work with us. Usually once or twice a week now me and my companion split because there are so many of them. As long as we have a priesthood holder with us, we can split and they become our companion. So its good to see the members progress. It was also awesome because our branch finally got a 2nd counsilor in the Branch presidency. Do you remember that brother i told you about a week or 2 ago? Brother Max Barro? He is the one that him and his wife, Joan, were inactive for a long. Max also had problems with the Word of Wisdom and stuff. But he got rid of that the last 2 months and has come back to church. And then yesterday he got made the 2nd Counsilor! It is amazing to see his progression. It is evidence that if we want to Christ, God will help us. It is awesome because they even have a date now to be sealed in the temple. So amazing.

This week in our work, we had a couple of good investigators that don't want to learn anymore. That was a little rough, but it was awesome because we got a couple new investigators that are awesome. We had a couple of them at church yesterday. So things are awesome here. Looks like we'll be having some baptisms in the next month. So we're excited for that.

I just want you all to know that i know this is really the work of the Lord. Everyday is so amazing. You can see the Lord's hand in a lot of things. I know that this church is true. I know the Book of Mormon is true. Just continue to read it. I promise it will give you the strength to continue day to day. Most importantly, always remember that Christ has paid for your sins and hardships. He did everything for us in the Atonement. If we come to Him, He will help us. But of course we have to do our part. There was a letter that our mission president gave us a week or 2 ago that was a talk by Elder Jeffery R. Holland. He said that life is not enough for us because the Atonement wasn't easy. We all have to enter our own Gethsamane. We all have to take at least a step toward Calvary. We do have to work for it, but the Lord WILL help us. He loves you so much. And i love you so much. God be with you till we meet again.

Elder Brough

Love you all!
