5.9 Earthquake

Guess with faith and prayers we will know that everything will be ok. I really miss the days that all my kids were little and when something bad was happening, like thunder & lightening or heavy rain, they would take blankets and pillows and go in the bathtub and "not be scared" Hahaha. Remember those days girls? :) Cody is serving in "Cupang in the south part of my mission in Bataan" ..........so according to this news report, he must have felt this earthquake.

A 5.9-magnitude earthquake shook Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon pastnoon Thursday, state seismologists said.The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said theepicenter of the tectonic quake was traced 111 kilometers west of Mamburao,Occidental Mindoro at the South China Sea.The quake was felt at intensity V in Looc, Lubang Island in OccidentalMindoro; intensity IV in Quezon City, Mandaluyong, Makati, and Clark,Pampanga; and intensity II in Bagac, Bataan and Canlubang, Laguna, Phivolcssaid.Aftershocks are expected, although the quake is not expected to generatetsunamis because "it was not too strong," Phivolcs added.According to a separate report from the United States Geological Survey(USGS), the quake, which occurred at 1:29 p.m., measured at magnitude 6.1,with an epicenter traced off Lubang Island, OccidentalMindoro.
