March Na!

Elder Brough on Bishop's Bullet Bike
As always it was good to hear from him, here are some excerpts from his email last night. And the pictures that he sent! So good to see that he is doing well, and enjoying the experiences he's having.

Kumusta pamilya ko! Kumusta po kayo? Everything is still well and amazing here in the Philippines. A little hot but that is to be expected. The other day Elder Amorsolo was guessing that it was about 38 degrees Celcius. I have no idea what that is in Farienhiet, but it is warm. I forgot the stuff we learned in Chemistry about converting Celcius to Farienhiet haha. It is a little extra warm right now because they are just starting into "El Ninyo", an exremely dry season. It is pretty much a drought. That is why it hasn't rained once since i've been here. But after this they have, or are expecting, "La Ninya", an extremely wet season. So that will all be cool and an experience........
.....So this area; i don't know how to describe it. It is way bigger than Star Valley. I have no idea how many people are here. But here it wouldn't nesesarily be a city. I guess it would be more like suburbs or something. As a country boy i'm not sure what it would be equal to. But it is a lot of people. Way more than i've ever been around before. The place we live isn't actually an apartment. It is just a house with a kitchen, living/study room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. So it is just the 4 of us that serve in this ward, Cupang Ward.Speaking of google earth mom, i saw our house on google earth the other day. We were at the Salazar Family's house for dinner, and they wanted to see what it was like where i lived. So they google earthed it. And there was a way to like click pictures so there was a picture from the top of our lane and i could see the corrals, the tractors, the red shop, the house, Erickson's, even a couple of the horses. It was really wierd.......
.......Like i said life is great here. My experience of the week was that i tried squid. It wasn't too bad. It really had no taste. It was just really chewy. But the food is good here and i'm staying well feed. We just had interviews with President Aquino and Sister Aquino did weight checks, and quess what i am now........almost 160 lb! So i am gaining alot faster than at the MTC. Hopefully i don't gain too much more haha. We also have a new family that we are teaching, and they have a little girl named Angel. She is exactly like Payzli. She is about the same age, and she is a little stinker just like Payzli. It is so funny. She is the Philippino Payzli haha. It is crazy how alike they are.......
.......Well i hope life continues to go well for you all. Continue in faith and doing the things we need to to reach the Celestial Kingdom. I'm so thankful for the fact that we can all live together forever there.
I love you all and God be with you till we meet again.Elder Brough

Sunset in Cupang

Family Home Evening with the Garote Family and Bishop Molina's Family (Bishop is the one in the back with the crazy face haha). We played a game and as you can probably tell Elder Brough lost haha.

"Me and Elder Mabini, We went bowling last P-day. There are only 2 bowling alleys in our mission, in our area and in Olongapo. We played 5 games, as you can tell I'm still about as good as I was before, haha."
