Elder Brough and Elder Oliva

Hello everybody! Life is still amazing in the Philippines. Transfers are tomorrow, but we aren't affected by them here. Both me and my companion are staying here. It kind of surprised me because he has been here for a while now and he goes home in 2 more transfers. So I thought he would transfer. But we are continuing our work here in San Felipe. It is funny because the other 4 Elders in our District all transferred. We are the only ones staying haha. That is missionary life. Lots of good experiences.
Our Zone Activity last week was just a water fight at the Church House. It was pretty fun. You dry out really quick in the heat after haha. It only rains once in a while, but it has been a bit cooler the last bit. Cooler, but it is still hot by our standards at home, haha. I don't know exactly how hot, but it has to still be in the 80's. Now that feels pretty normal to me. haha. There are 3 of us Americans in my Zone. There are quite a few of us foriegners, but it is mostly native Filippinos. There are quite a few of us here in Olongapo Mission. I have no idea how many. We are all spread out pretty good. There are tones of missionaries here I have never met or even seen. Every transfer and every Zone Conference you meet quite a few missionaries you don't know. That's missionary life.
The baptism this week went good. We got the 3 of them baptized. It is 2 brothers and their cousin. One is 10 and the other two are 8 yrs old. They are pretty fun. It was good to see them get baptized. Our investigators are still progressing along. We have one investigator that is the mother of a member here. The member is about 18 is the only member in her family. We started teaching her mom a while ago and have been teaching her some. The mom is Sister Mierna Somouri. She is really nice and likes listening to us. But she hasn't come to church yet. She doesn't really want to come to Church. But she finally committed to come to church. That is really the only problem, getting her to come to Church. Just pray for her that she will finally come this Sunday.
We are still having Specialized Traning and stuff. Some things are still changing. It was that we would check our emails to see if we were transferring, but now we have a Transfer Meeting where they tell us. And now we only have Zone Conference every 3 months instead of every transfer. But now we have a Specialized Training every molnth. So some small changes, but they are good. Our work seems to be improving.
I hope everything continues to go good for you all over there. Life is just so amazing here in the service of the Lord. Alam ko na totoo ang simbahan na ito, at na buhay si JesuCristo. Mahal na mahal ko po kayo. Magtiis at ingat palagi. I love you all, and God be with you till we meet again.
Elder Brough
