Kumusta!

Hello everybody! It sounds like things are going alright for you all there. Life is good here. Life is amazing. Another good week of teaching and walking around in the rain. haha

This week started raining more. We had one day it really came down hard. We got on the bus to head to our investigator that lives out in the mountains, and it started raining. When we got off to start walking up the dirt road it was a bit stronger. But we were there now so we kept going on. Then it really started, and as we hiked to her house we got pretty wet. Okay, we were pretty much soaked. But it was worth it. When we got there we watched The Restoration movie, and she invited a bunch of her neighbors to watch. So we watched it on a little TV that was hooked up to a motorcycle battery, because they don't have any electricity out there. It was cool. Then when we left the trail had turned into a creek and at one part the water was almost to my knees. It was a really cool experience.

Me and my companion speak mostly Tagalog together. Sometimes he speaks English to me for practice. Now it is hard for me to speak English. Sometimes I try but it is hard haha. So a little more about my companion, Elder Oliva. He is the only memeber in his family. He had only been a memeber for just over a year when he entered the mission. Ne goes home in November so only this transfer and next transfer left for him. We might be together until he leaves. We don't know. It is normal for companions to only be together 1 or 2 transfers, but it isn't uncommon to be together for 3 transfers, about 4 1/2 months. The time you stay in an area depends too. Sometimes only 1 transfer, or a month and a half. But I know quite a few people that have been in one area for 9 months to a yeard. It just depends where the Lord needs you. There was one sister that went home a while ago that tonly had 2 areas. She as in her first area for 8 months and here second for a year. It was funny because she said she wondered if the Mission President had forgotten her haha.

Well I hope things continue to go well for you all. Remember the Lord is here for us in all we do. He is always right there to help us. I love you all so much, and God be with you till we meet again.

Elder Brough

P.S. Thanks for the package and all the food! Now I really need to work on exercising so I don't get fat haha.
