Transfers Bukas!

Hello my family! How is life in cold old Wyoming? Life here is still hot and humid. But it is close to the rainy season now. Its rained a couple times this last week. But transfers tomorrow and...............................I'm not transfering. Me and my companion, Elder Dalupan, are still here for another transfer. So I'm going for 4 transfers, 6 months, here in Cupang aka The Promised Land. I'm kind of excited to stay here in this area. At least 6 more weeks here. It will be an experience.

The work is still awesome here. We've had plenty of food these last days. Friday there was a wedding here, 2 members. It was just a civil wedding at the chapel. They invited us, so we attended. It was a little different than I remember of Heather and Roy's wedding. It was like a mix of the ceremoney, the reception and the dinner all in one. So that was an experience. It made us just a little bit trunky haha joke lang. Then yesterday was the Fiesta in Cupang. Every barangay, or kind of community, has a fiesta once every year. They party and have celebrations and eat. So everywhere we went they fed us. It was like eating appointment after eating appointment haha. We were so full. We ate about 6 times from lunch to dinner haha. That is why they call this the Promised Land.

We also had an experience with an investigator. You might remember him from my other emails. It is Brother Bernie Florez. He was progressing so good a while back, then he got really busy and haven't taught him for about a month and a half. But this week we contacted him again. He is still interested and receptive. We taught him again later this week, and gave him a baptismal goal date! At first he rejected it, but finally accepted it after some coaxing and some more teaching. So it is nice to see some fruits of our earlier teachings.

Well the work here is still amazing. Sorry if this is kind of short. Life is still amazing. You have nothing to worry about here Mom haha. The church is so true. There is so much power in the Book of Mormon. Continue in faith. God be with you till we meet again.
